Job description
Main Duties
- Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Managing and training warehouse staff
- Maintaining accurate records of stock levels and movements
- Implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures
- Ensuring the warehouse is organized and operating efficiently
- Coordinating with logistics to ensure timely deliveries
- Conducting regular stock counts and location checks
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met
- Handling and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the warehouse
Essential Skills required
- Strong organisational skills
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Ability to think and plan ahead to avoid unnecessary work
- Proficiency in stock management software

Managing a warehouse involves substantial manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. It is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to comfortably carry out your tasks.
This role is suited for individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast-paced and energized environment relies on organization and efficiency. Forward planning is essential to getting the job done on time and without tiring yourself out.
Forklift trained with a B1 counterbalance of up to 5 tons is desirable but not required; training will be provided as needed. We offer both permanent and temporary contracts.

Work Authorisation
This is a full-time role based in our Bourne End office. Eligibility to work in the UK is a requirement.
Work Location
Bourne End, SL8 5DT, with nearby and accessible transport links. A reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work is required.
