Introduction from the board

We have a zero-tolerance policy to any form of slavery, servitude, forced labour or human trafficking, whether within our own business or our supply chain, in the UK and overseas. We are working hard to ensure these crimes and violations of fundamental human rights do not exist in either our business activities or our supply chains. This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors who fully support the Company’s ongoing and future commitments to tackle modern slavery. Our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls and acting with due diligence in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Business

Q&Y International Ltd is one of the largest distributors of engineered floor covering products in the UK. We produce and import most of our products from the far east and some of our products from Europe.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery & Human Trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have in place systems to:

  • Protect whistleblowers
  • Allow staff to raise any matters of concern
  • Identify and assess high-risk areas of the supply chain
  • Recruitment and employment principles

Supplier Adherence to Our Values & Ethics

To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values, we are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. This will include

  • Mapping our supply chain
  • Risk assessment analysis of our supply chain and measuring their effectiveness
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chain
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chain
  • An ongoing review of our supply chain and contractual obligations
